December 1, 2025(2 events) 5:30 pm: Beginner Dog Training - Nov 10 for 6 weeks – All the basics for a well-trained dog. For puppies as young as 10 weeks - up to adult.... Eye contact, hand targeting, Polite Leash Walking, Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Come, Leave It, Drop it, Tug, Polite Meets and Greets, Polite leash walking, Go to your special place. Learn about management and HOW to solve behavior problems. Sometimes just being aware of what you are rewarding can take you far towards having a pet that does as you ask all the time. Choice based training using positive reinforcement techniques creates a dog that wants to be obedient....and wants to spend time with you. Do you love training? This class opens a world of opportunities for games and sport training in your future...I can keep you and your dog busy for years with lots of different training games. Instructor: Carolyn Ross 6 weeks - $210 includes workbook 6:45 pm: Holiday Skills - Dec 1 for 3 weeks – Practice your obedience skills so that you can enjoy your holidays with your dogs. Polite Greetings, Loose Leash walking, Leave it, Magic Carpet - these are all valuable skills to have when entertaining visitors or visiting friends and relatives at their home. We can also introduce a few fun tricks to impress your friends and relatives. December 2, 2025(2 events) 5:30 pm: Combo Class Novice - Nov 18 for 5 weeks – Just for fun, we thought we would offer a class that combines both Obstacle skills and Shadow Skills into one course. The teams have been loving this class! And we are seeing great improvements in the dogs' focus on their handlers. This class will focus on Novice Skills and introduce you and your dog to heeling with tricks. We build a Shadow Skills course - then we add a few obstacles for the dogs to perform.....Ladder, hoops, jumps, cones, mats, etc. Heeling practice with more fun games to keep your dog's interest. Basic training skills are incorporated - sit, down, stand, leave it, stay, come, working through distractions, etc. But the fun part is teaching the tricks - spins, circles, and flips of various kinds. Tunnels, Hoops, Jumps, Platforms, Steps, Cones, Mats, Moving obstacles, Retrieves....a wide variety of skills will also be introduced. These skills all transfer into good use in daily life with your dog. Build your dog's confidence, impulse control, interest in paying attention to you. Leashes will be optional at certain times, so this is your chance to help build your off-leash skills too. Dogs & puppies should have a basic understanding of leash walking, sit, down, stay, and come. Handlers should have a basic understanding of positive reinforcement training. Because it is fun for your dog, you improve your training skills, and you can impress your friends! Teaching simple tricks can greatly enhance your relationship with your dog. Your dog will see you as more fun to be with and will pay better attention to you. Tricks can be used to distract your dog when nervous or over-excited, warm up your dog before a sporting event, or just give you something to do on a rainy or snowy day. There is a long list of tricks to choose from. 3 weeks - $90 Instructor: Jeremy Shaw 7:15 pm: Sniff It - Dec 3 for 3 weeks – Sniff it is a division of Wag It Games. Teach your dog to alert you to a scent that is either in a container, in water, or hanging from a fence. This is a fun game that is natural for dogs. And you can earn titles while in class!
