July 24, 2023(2 events) 5:30 pm: Beginner Dog Training.... July 24 for 6 weeks – All the basics for a well-trained dog. For puppies as young as 10 weeks - up to adult.... Eye contact, hand targeting, Polite Leash Walking, Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Come, Leave It, Drop it, Tug, Polite Meets and Greets, Polite leash walking, Go to your special place. Learn about management and HOW to solve behavior problems. Sometimes just being aware of what you are rewarding can take you far towards having a pet that does as you ask all the time. Choice based training using positive reinforcement techniques creates a dog that wants to be obedient....and wants to spend time with you. Do you love training? This class opens a world of opportunities for games and sport training in your future...I can keep you and your dog busy for years with lots of different training games. July 26, 2023(2 events) 5:30 pm: Shadow Skills Novice - June 21 for 6 weeks – Heeling with Tricks! Help your dog enjoy heeling and paying attention to you. Spins, Flips, Circles, Fronts, Backs, left side, right side - keep your dog guessing! Dogs learn to love heeling next to your side when you are fun to walk with. This is a competitive sport....or you can just participate for the fun of it! We may offer testing on the last day of class. July 27, 2023(2 events) 9:00 am: Fast on the Flat - Agility (session 2 begins June 29) – Fast on the Flat is a division of Wag It Games - it is similar to Grounders in NADAC. Tunnels, Hoops, and Barrels are the only obstacles. Dog tends to run faster as there are no jumps to take and no contacts to stop on. Which means, you need to have great communication between you and your dog. Your dog learns to drive forward; you learn to give earlier cues. Learn distance handling skills as well as regular agility handling skills. Great for dogs just starting agility, as well as older dogs that no longer want to jump and run up A-frames. 5 weeks - $140 Instructor: Carolyn Ross This class is ongoing throughout the summer - Join anytime! 5:30 pm: Agility - Level 1 Intro – Foundation Skills for Agility.....intro to most obstacles and short sequences. $140 for 5 week Class Pass Instructor: Carolyn Ross |
