November 4, 2021(1 event) – Fast on the Flat is a division of Wag It Games - it is similar to Barrelers in NADAC. Tunnels, Hoops, and Barrels are the only obstacles. Dog tends to run faster as there are no jumps to take and no contacts to stop on. Which means, you need to have great communication between you and your dog. Your dog learns to drive forward; you learn to give earlier cues. Learn distance handling skills as well as regular agility handling skills. Great for dogs just starting agility, as well as older dogs that no longer want to jump and run up A-frames. Class time may move earlier as the weather gets warmer. 5 weeks - $130

$130 - 5 weeks DogSense Outdoor Campus – Adding tricks to your heeling is just more interesting for your dog. It can also give you a way to keep your dog’s attention when they encounter distractions – even if off leash! Spins, circles, flips, weaves…..there’s a lot you can do to keep things fun for your dog while out walking. Prerequisite: Dog/puppy should have a basic understanding of loose leash walking $30 - on hour workshop Refreshing Paws – Run through the 10 exercises required to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Suitable for dogs just learning the skills, or for anyone who thinks they might be ready but want some extra practice. November 17, 2021(3 events) – DogBall is a great sport for teaching impulse control and directional signals. Many dogs think it is pretty fun to push a yoga ball to their handler. This will be intro level, or for anyone who has started but wants practice with the foundation skills. Prerequisite: Dog/puppy should be able to work in a room with other dogs nearby $30 - one hour workshop Refreshing Paws – Where all the fancy tricks begin. Learn to teach your dog the difference between his front & hind feet. The, begin to teach the difference between left and right! Then introduce the tricks! All levels welcome….curriculum can be modified to match each team’s level of experience. Foot awareness is also beneficial for agility and strength conditioning. Prerequisite: NONE Refreshing Paws – GREAT skills for building strength and body awareness, adding to your heeling skills, and teaching your dog to get out of the way. We will use a variety of props to help you learn the best way to teach your dog these skills. Intermediate teams are also welcome. We can finesse your skills at whatever level you are working. American Legion Hall – Calm greetings are easier for everyone. Learn how to teach your dog to remain calm when greeting other dogs or people. To be successful at greetings, dogs need to have a bit of impulse control. We will practice a few games to help teach this. Teaching our dogs to think before acting is another life skill that will make our dogs much easier to live with. We will work through the basics of proofing your stay cue, as well as teach your dog to go to a mat or cot and stay there until told to get off.
