5:30 pm: Workshop - Weaning off Treats (CGC practice)5:30 pm: Workshop - Weaning off Treats (CGC practice) – It is so easy to become dependent on giving your dog treats....all the time....At some point, your dog doesn't need to be given cookies for behaviors they know well. This workshop will focus on helping your dog learn to work with less treats. We will practice most of the AKC Canine Good Citizen test items. All the basic skills, sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking, sitting politely for petting, and greeting other dog/handler teams. Prerequisite: Dog/puppy should have basic understanding of Sit, Down, Loose Leash Walking, Stay, Come 1 hour - $30 Instructor - Carolyn Ross 6:45 pm: Beginner Dog Training.... 5:30 pm: WIG Smart Dog Tricks-Novice...April 5 for 5 weeks5:30 pm: WIG Smart Dog Tricks-Novice...April 5 for 5 weeks – Wag It Games - Smart Dog Tricks! How Smart is YOUR dog? With a little coaching, probably pretty smart! The Smart Dog Program used to be called Obstacle Skills. You will work with a variety of objects to help your dog build confidence, balance, body awareness, and obedience skills while learning to stay focused on you. You will practice a variety of training styles all based on a positive reward system. This is a great pre-agility class. If you are thinking of trying dog agility this summer, this would be a great place to start. We will offer several Novice tests. You can complete each test throughout the class. Play for fun - or earn a qualifying score towards a Smart Dog Title. But...dogs are dogs and sometimes find distractions difficult to ignore. This 3 week class will explore ways to help your dog learn to listen and stay near you while not being leashed. We will practice heeling, recalls, impulse control, leave it, and other games to help your dog learn to love staying near you on your walks. While no dog is 100% safe while off leash, there are many skills you can practice to help your dog practice good off leash skills and make your off leash time more relaxing. Prerequisite: Beginner Dog Training class with DogSense.....or permission from the instructor. 3 weeks - $90 Instructor: Carolyn Ross |

Tunnels, Hoops, and Barrels are the only obstacles. Dog tends to run faster as there are no jumps to take and no contacts to stop on. Which means, you need to have great communication between you and your dog. Your dog learns to drive forward; you learn to give earlier cues. Learn distance handling skills as well as regular agility handling skills. Great for dogs just starting agility, as well as older dogs that no longer want to jump and run up A-frames.
