For puppies as young as 10 weeks - up to adult....
Eye contact, hand targeting, Polite Leash Walking, Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Come, Leave It, Drop it, Tug, Polite Meets and Greets, Polite leash walking, Go to your special place. Learn about management and HOW to solve behavior problems. Sometimes just being aware of what you are rewarding can take you far towards having a pet that does as you ask all the time.
Choice based training using positive reinforcement techniques creates a dog that wants to be obedient....and wants to spend time with you. Do you love training? This class opens a world of opportunities for games and sport training in your future...I can keep you and your dog busy for years with lots of different training games.

The Smart Dog Program used to be called Obstacle Skills. You will work with a variety of objects to help your dog build confidence, balance, body awareness, and obedience skills while learning to stay focused on you. You will practice a variety of training styles all based on a positive reward system.
This is a great pre-agility class. If you are thinking of trying dog agility this summer, this would be a great place to start.
I will offer several Novice tests. You can complete each test throughout the class. Play for fun - or earn a qualifying score towards a Smart Dog Title. No pressure.....just fun!
5 weeks - $130 (Each submitted qualifying score - $5 additional)

Tunnels, Hoops, and Barrels are the only obstacles. Dog tends to run faster as there are no jumps to take and no contacts to stop on. Which means, you need to have great communication between you and your dog. Your dog learns to drive forward; you learn to give earlier cues. Learn distance handling skills as well as regular agility handling skills.
Great for dogs just starting agility, as well as older dogs that no longer want to jump and run up A-frames.
Class time may move earlier as the weather gets warmer.
